This is the new tailbag I just picked up. It is a Gears navigator tailbag from a company in Canada but made in China of course. The bag is very well made and fits the bike well. I like the fact that it is a cross between a tailbag and a pair of saddle bags. I think the low profile looks good and there is still plenty of volume inside. The bag is filled with five large beach towels and 4x6 blanket in the main compartment. The lower saddlebag portion just has paper stuffed in. I't would easily fit enough stuff for a week or more of travel. The bag and it's fastening system make contact with the bike over the heat shield in two places and on the plastic of the tail section so some chafing may occur The buckles are metal and I made some velcro fabric wraps to cover them and prevent possible damage. I had to purchase some more nylon webbing to make secure connections as the bag did not come with sufficient strapping. The strapping system has some elastic areas to tuck the tail end of the straps in so they don't flap in the wind a plus. The installation instructions were vague but you figure it out. The bag also comes with a rain cover I picked it up from motorcyclesuperstore online for $92.00 including shipping. I have not had a chance to ride with it on so again I'll post the result on shifting and chafing etc. I have not ridden two up yet so this will I'm sure be some good practice with the extra weight .http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/9912/bike001qu7.th.jpg (http://img242.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bike001qu7.jpg)http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/9884/bike004ur2.th.jpg (http://img242.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bike004ur2.jpg)

So I have had my first ride with the bag fully loaded and it was fine no shifting or apparent rubbing. I did not even notice that the bag was on the back of the bike. Taking things out of the bag requires tightening all the straps before taking off again but thats the trade off from having hard luggage and brackets all over the bike. I just returned from a 800 mile round trip and the bag stayed on the bike not problem. Problems I had were the stiching around the main compartment zipper has started to loosen in one three inch area and the carry handle on the back of the bag popped one of the rivets that hold it on. The rain cover was almost lost when I leaned forward to adjust my seating position. I barely felt it as it flew off on the interstate. It needs some additional straps to hold it in place I'll have to figure something out
