Turbotommy 06-01-2008, 09:17 PM Hello all, My name is Tommy I live in Beautiful Langley British Columbia Canada! My girlfriend and I just took our Riding Course together and we bought her an 04 599 with only 3300 kms on it. I loved it so much riding it home that i want one as well. I found one that same day and tomorrow i am picking up my 06 599 after work. I work at a custom car shop and pretty much have built a huge variety of cars from 900hp mk4 supras to high horsepower honda cars. I love my job as a fabricator at my shop called Killer Customs (www.killercustoms.ca), We were on the show pinks, being the only Canadians on the show we did win the car and a kind of local celebrities here in bc. Anyways i am happy i found this forum and look forward to learning and helping out in anyway i can. So i say hi and thanks in advance for the information that has been posted thus far.
JHenley17 06-01-2008, 09:35 PM I've only seen three Japanese cars on Pinks... two Datsuns and a red Civic. Either one of those you guys?
It borders breaking man law, but it's pretty cool that you're riding the same bike. Think you'll be fabbing anything up for it?
SLC599er 06-01-2008, 10:00 PM Is the GF's yellow or asphalt? Seems like this could affect the man-law analysis. Come to think of it, she should probably jump into the forum too!
Anyway, welcome, and don't let these guys talk you into making crazy custom parts for them unless you really want to (and we all hope you do!).
yeroC 06-02-2008, 05:41 AM Welcome Turbo. Nice to have you aboard.
markv 06-02-2008, 06:33 AM Welcome Tommy and GF!!
Turbotommy 06-02-2008, 06:41 PM Thanks guys, its great to be on here, but today i was supposed to pick up my bike. I had an agreement with the guy and he called me in the morning and told me he sold it without even giving me a chance to offer more or even keeping his word. Oh well guess gotta look else where and it looks bleek right now.
My girls bike is Asphalt and pretty much brand new. I will try to get her on here she is not much of a computer type.
We had a Red 69 Camaro 454 na that we raced against a 80 malibu Small Block Turbo. The car was built at Horsepower Connection in Olympia Wa. You tube it it was a good episode.
As for fabrication i do intend on making a few things but i want to ride it for a while to get used to the bike and confident in my abilities. I am sure you will see some crazy exhaust and possibly a turbo? Haha nah my car gets a turbo it has a roll cage and i am safer going fast in that.
I will post pics when i get my bike if i get one.........
Well that's screwed up! :? I hope you find another one soon!
:welcome to the forum - you and your girl be careful on your new toy. :thumbsup

Welcome!
tsweimer 06-06-2008, 10:48 AM Tommy. I was looking at one in your area too. There's a guy in Burnaby that has a 06 with 4000 on it. He want's $6500. The problem is he owes on it. I might be the guy he's selling or WAS selling it to. He's a good guy but I'd rather buy a bike free and clear. He's willing to work on making the deal happen. His bike's in great shape. If you have his contact info give him a call.
Super Sneaky Steve 06-06-2008, 12:30 PM Yeah lets see some pics.....of your girlfriend :D
Welcome

Turbotommy 06-09-2008, 07:12 PM A few yes!!!! I love my job i get to spend everyone elses money haha!!!! The Cars i work on now are much like what Chip Foose does and the guys who own them have nothing but money and are happy even if some stuff doesnt fit cause it still fits better than it would have from the factory. tsweimer 06-09-2008, 07:31 PM No problem Tommy it was my pleasure. I actually had to ride home in this shit today. Raining sideways and getting in every where. NO THANKS, RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!
I just checked out your pictures, very cool. My bike has the same tank guard (which I really want to remove) and the guy also hacked off the bottom of my rear fender thing under the plate holder.
Here's a couple of shots of mine:

Turbotommy 06-14-2008, 09:47 PM K so Just spent some money on our bikes today and wow they look awsome now!!!! We bought some Pazzo Levers from the guy direct cause he is a local guy here in Langley British Columbia. We got a great deal on them and i had to install them as soon as i got home today. I also will be recieving my CRG bar end mirrors on monday and can hardly wait. The only other thing i want right now is a complete exhaust. I was thinking of a Hindle but also am thinking about making my own. I wish i had more time in a day to actually build one but i will probably just buy one cause i dont need to spend alot of time making it. Never any time hahahaha!!!! Heres some pics they look just like everyone elses but hey just adding to the coolness of the levers..........

tsweimer 06-14-2008, 09:52 PM Looking good Tommy. I may have a buyer for my Shadow, I have it priced at $5500 and when it sells my wife and I are buying another Hornet.
Turbotommy 06-14-2008, 10:04 PM Nice i love haveing two of the same bikes they have to be one of the coolest bikes around. Oh yeah I forgot too that i have a couple of sets of HID s coming for our bikes aswell and the Givi crash bars. I really want to have as much light as possible and try to not damage any of the motor if they ever do lay down.... Good luck on selling your Shadow. Does your wife have her license aswell?
tsweimer 06-14-2008, 10:08 PM She doesn't. She has been training and is taking the course next month. She loves the Hornet and it was her idea to get rid of the shadow and buy another Hornet.
Here's the craigslist ad if you want to spread it around. I don't know if that's against forums rules but here it is anyway.

markv 06-15-2008, 06:56 AM Nice looking Shadow! If I were not on the other side of Canada I'd be interested. I've been thinking of a Shadow for those days I feel like something different!
sodaking663rd 06-15-2008, 07:45 AM so have you guys raced yet? :)
i'm also curious, since you have both of them, which you prefer to drive or if you you can't tell the difference.
i know this has been brought up before but i'm curious of your opinion since you actually own them both.
Cyclerider101 06-15-2008, 09:16 AM Welcome! TWO 599s, very nice!
Turbotommy 06-15-2008, 05:56 PM No Racing yet haha!!! one day maybe but for now i am mostly making sure my girl feels comfortable on hers and feels cofortable riding in traffic and any other sort situations. Finally today was nice and we took a nice ride through our beautiful mountains and crazy windy roads to a 2000 car car show in Mission BC. Cant wait for more of these days!!!!!
That is awesome! Congrats on finding another one so soon! :thumbsup
