View Full Version : 2004 Honda 599 Asphalt Black - Raleigh, NC
DavidVTHokie 06-12-2008, 09:46 AM -- SOLD --
I must be crazy, but I'm thinking of selling my bike to fund the purchase of another. I need something that I can ride 2-up on more comfortably. Don't get me wrong, the bike is great 2-up, but the wife and I want to take some overnight bike trips.
The 599 has been flawless. Just put a new battery in it this weekend. I gently layed it on it's side once when stopped on a hill. I'll be glad to snap some pics of everything.
I love this bike, but I think I going to be a one-bike-at-a-time sort of guy, rather than have a stable.
I haven't decided on a price yet - I'm looking to see what interest there is.
Super Sneaky Steve 06-12-2008, 10:47 AM I'll start the bid at $1. 8)
sodaking663rd 06-12-2008, 04:29 PM the interest is there so long as it is a fair price along with mileage and pictures.
dexx85 06-13-2008, 11:27 AM Could you post some pics. My fiance is actually looking for an asphalt 599. What mileage is on it?
Thanks
blackbeast 06-29-2008, 05:42 AM Still looking to sell? Have you come up with a price yet?

Simple solution- Buy her a 599 of her own. Or, if she's a noob, maybe a Ninja 250 or something.
OR...do they make a sidecar for the 599? That would be comfortable on long trips! :D
sumfoo1 07-17-2008, 08:40 AM how much do you want for it?

Hey DavidVTHokie:
Do you have pictures yet? Thanks...
Steve
DavidVTHokie 11-16-2009, 10:52 AM Sorry, I'll get alerts if someone sends me a PM, but haven't been monitoring this forum post. I think my not-having-taken-pictures is a subconscious reluctance to sell :D
I actually have a shot at leaving work early-ish today, so I'll try to get some up on flickr.
DavidVTHokie 11-16-2009, 08:08 PM Ok, pictures posted.

Bike has 7814 miles, is not flawless, but is in really nice shape for so little money. I tried to take pictures of all the blemishes I could see. Comes with a brand new OEM seat, never ridden (I punctured the original seat sitting on my pants' zippers).
Bike is bone-stock, no mods.
I'm in Apex, NC, just 20 minutes outside of Raleigh. I don't have a truck or trailer to deliver.
