i have to admit i didn't want to give this little secret away while i was searching because i'm selfish but now that i have mine sitting in the garage i wanted to lend you all a hand in searching for one.
as we all know these bikes are hard to find. cycletrader.com is very limited help - in fact right now there are four within 400 miles of me and one of those is not even up to date because it's been sold over a month ago.
for those of you familiar with craigslist.com, you may find one on there but it's hard to do a global search because cl forces you to select a locale.
well some really nice programmer with not enough to do on a lonely weekend was kind enough to write a little db query that will search multiple listings of craigslist at the same time.
the only caveat to using this is you must use firefox and you must make a few adjustments to your browser. there are instructions on the site or feel free to contact me if you run into difficulty. this is how i found my 599. i had to drive 400 miles to pick it up but it was exactly what i was looking for and i didn't have to deal with the PITA fees associated with buying from a dealer, and once again they're hard to find. here is the website:

good luck with your search.

I used craigshelper.com got to search for all honda599's in Cali. Probably not as hi tech as the one you mentioned, but it's easy and it worked for me.

I found mine through oodle.com - it found an ad in a tiny little newspaper that otherwise hadn't shown up through any other search engine.
