I'm from Portugal, the land of cristiano ronaldo for an example.

i own a hornet 2007 europe model. it is in the pictures menu. my first bike was a cbr125r and i still own it.

i hope you just help me find new things and new experiences.

here i am with my bike and my edwars legend. (colin edwards is my second favourite pilot, behind the great rossi!)

thanks again.

it is very strange you don't have this bike there... you are such a big market... i can not understand, anyone know why honda don't sell this bike in the state? or a reason?

Hey Pedro, welcome! It's great to have participation from different countries on the site.

A big jump up from a CBR125R to the Hornet! Drive safe OK.

PS I believe the Hornet doesn't make it here at the moment due to it being assembled in Italy and the exchange rate between the US $ and the Euro. Makes it just too expensive to sell well here.

yes, it was a big jump but now i already have 20000 miles (13000km) in my bike, that's a lot in Portugal for a year riding, and i adapted very well to the bike.

yes, the new hornet is assembled in italy, it could be a reason. here in portugal the new hornet is sold by 7500€, $5000/5500. how many cost in the states a new hornet model 2006?

7500 Euro at todays exchange rate 1 Euro=$1.50 means $11250 US. The 2006 Hornet 600 list price was $7399. I think many sold at the dealer for less than that. So not easy for Honda to make money on a European manufactured bike.

WOW! $5,000 for a new Hornet, what a bargain!

i made a confusion.. i put the values on the wrong side at the conversor. markv is correct: $11250 in the states.

thanks for correction me.

interesting is that I believe the bike would sell in the states if the dealers cared for advertisement.

In Costa Rica the 2008 hornet costs around $16K (yeah, I'm not !@#$ing) and still they sell like hot bread...

who knows, maybe one of you adventurers would give the bike business a try...
