Hey saw a few posts about getting a ride together. Just seeing what interest is out there. Let me know some dates for you'all.

I may have some buddies up at my place for a ride this Saturday. Haven't decided where to go yet, but there are some very cool rides up here from what I hear.

Kalama River Road is a nice short road with lots of fun curves:

Mt. St. Helens is another good one that I haven't gone on yet, but I hear it is a blast!

And my buddy has been raving about this ride out the backroads to Astoria and hit up lunch at the Rogue Brewery out on the docks in Astoria. Looks to be a fun ride as well...

St. Helen's is a blast!!! :lol: as long as it doesn't go off while I'm there.

I drove 504 up to st. helen's years ago so I don't remember much, but that should be a nice trip as well.

I've done parts of 202 and it was great. Lots of twisties but also lots of logging so you gotta watch out for the trucks and some debris on the road.

I also just realized Monday is Labor Day so I got me a 3 day weekend! I have no plans so far, so I would be down for a ride.

well if any of you portland guys decide you are wanting to do one of these rides just add my msn/aim and send me a message so we can set something up.

far as I know it will just be me and my buddy with an r1, and possibly another friend with ducati 695, but he is not for sure at this point.

also gotta keep our fingers crossed for weather, I am worried it might not be as nice as we had hoped. :)

I did Mt. Hood yesterday on my 599. My friend who has a 919 and I went to Timothy Lake and Government Camp. It was beautiful and COLD! We talked about doing the same ride again and coming back through Hood River and going on the Washington side. I'm always up for a ride.

I did part of the ride out to Astoria on Monday and we took a wrong turn that had some of the best turns of the whole ride. Weather was dry thats about all I can really ask for in the good old PNW. :)

My mom lives in Gladstone... so next time I am out that way I think I can borrow a Magna to tool around on. It won't be the 599, but there's not too much I can do about that.

I'll try to look some of you up.

I'd like to hit up Timberline Lodge for a beer and try to get to Mt. St. Helens too.

Oh yeah, the good ol' fruit loop rocks! Done that a couple of time and it was great every time. The only tricky part is how windy it gets in the gorge.

It really wasn't that bad. I'm always surprised by how comfortable the bike is but I need to get better at stopping more often. I always have plans on stopping that I just seem to blow right past :)

Hubbie and I are leading a bunch of friends on a ride to the coast this Sunday. Meeting up at my place in north portland around 10 am. Route will be announced then but it involves some fun back roads and minimal highway riding to get to the Tillamook area and then slabbing it back either on 6 or 53/26 depending on how people are feeling.

Pace will be moderate as there will be a few new riders in the pack but faster riders are welcome as long as they are willing to wait up.

Feel free to PM for directions to my place. We will be going through Forest Grove and are willing to swing by the Grand Lodge to pick up any west side riders.

Our group is made up of gear nazis. Anything other than full gear will be mocked. You have been warned.

Sounds great. There is a possibility that I might be in Eugene, but just in case I will PM you to get that info. I really hope I can make it! It would be really fun to take a ride with the portlanders. :ride
