sounds like he either crashed or had a pretty close call.

I know at least two experienced riders who quit riding on the street. Both of them still ride: one goes to the track, the other does it in the dirt.

I saw this ad too. I live in Portland and noticed this listing was posted a few months earlier, then reposted in the last couple of weeks. Not sure why he's having difficulty selling, given the offer price. -Perhaps it's that can-do attitude.

I talked to that guy when I was looking for a 599 back in Sept. It was his wife's bike and she dropped it from a stand still on both sides. Had typical rash for falling, crankcase on both sides and fuel tank ,muffler cover and mirror were scratched.

I chose a 04 599 with 8k miles, and come to think about it I have scratched the stator cover and plan on changing the can, the mirrors and painting the tank... shit I could have had an 06 with 1800 miles!! :D
