Apparently the rate military Brits kiling themselves after coming back from Iraq/Afghanistan whie riding their bikes is very high.

It has been put down to coming back from combat operations with "The feeling of invincability" for surviving out there!!! :(

I've been hearing a bit of that myself out here in cali. Actually know one marine who highsided on a brand new Yamaha R6 on the freeway. Surived, but messed up his leg and hip pretty bad. And get this, he didn't even know how to ride when he bought the bike, had to have someone else ride it home from the stealership - not because of fear, but because he literally didn't know how to ride. Figured he'd learn as he went along. Those guys are a special breed. My hat goes off to them.
