Don't want to do this but I'm selling my 2006 599. The reason is that I have carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists and when I bougth the bike I didn't think that it would be a problem. I was wrong. After about 20 minutes my fingers start to go numb and thats not any fun or safe.

I'm finally getting straightened out after my wreck last year. My back is a mess, but I'm starting to be able to live somewhat of a normal life again.

I've been debating between another 599, a 919, or a Street Triple. I really like the Street Triples...but sadly they don't have the Honda reliability. They do have fuel injection though...I LIKE fuel injection after having the F4i.

Anyway...I'm looking at picking up another 599... 8) 8)

djamalt...yep...it's me. :D :D :D I've been lurking here off and on since my wreck last year. I just haven't been really involved here or on the cbr site b/c I haven't been able to actually ride.

Just looking at getting back on a bike again.

I've spent the last year horrified every time a driver is slowing down behind me at a stop light. I find myself bracing to get hit at every stop light. It sucks. Getting hit from behind by a bitch on a cellphone doing estimated 30 miles an hour whilst never touching her brakes kind of sticks with you and plays games with your head for quite a while.

Anyway...I might ride up to the Triumph dealer this weekend if I don't find a 599 at a good price.

I'd love a Daytona...but I've know a couple of guys who ride Daytonas and they swear they get very uncomfortable after 20 minutes. Very racey position....

Very good that you are able to tell the tale my man. But we've got quite an array of folks on the site - and I sooooooo get your anger, but might want to ease of on the slurs so we can keep it a fun site for all. Glad to see you back though. I'm sure you'll find a replacement. Regardless of it's a Hornet or you go back to full on crotch rocket. And with all the nasty crap you've been through over the past 2 years, you're about due for some kind of windfall. Lotto or something.
