I've been lurking here for a while, waiting to pull the trigger, and today was the day.

I just picked up a pristine '06 599 with only 602mi on the odometer. This will be my first street bike, but I've been riding dirt for years, and have been riding a Honda Ruckus to commute on over the past year.

Of course my first impression was the amazing amount of smooth power it has. :) I'm 40yrs old, and have a spotless driving record, so I think I'll keep it under control. ;)

Welcome. I also just got my 06 Hornet and the high rpm's are addictive. You will be pleasently surprise at all the power you have between your legs. Its also lots of fun. We should get everyone in the DFW area together for a ride. The weather is perfect... :D
