Hello all, I am new here. This breaks my heart as I type this right now, but due to some medical problems in the family, I am forced to sell this bike.

As listed, it is a 2006 Honda 599. I am asking $4900. The bike has just turned over 1400 miles and is in excellent condition. The bike is completely stock except for a small bar end mirror. I do have the factory mirrors which are included.

I do not currently have any pictures of the bike, but it is for sale on consignment at a local dealership, so if you are interested and would like some pictures I can go to the dealership and take some.

I have wanted one of these bikes since I first laid my eyes on one, and now that I finally have one, I have to sell it. Arghhh!! Family first. I'm sure you can understand. Mark my words, I will own another one soon.

No need to preach to the chior here, as members of this forum I'm sure you all know how great these bikes are. However, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

I am willing to arrange shipment for this bike, but to be honest I do not know what the cost would be. I am located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and am willing to drive within a 100 miles radius. Minneapolis/St. Paul included.

Having to sell this bike is painful, but knowing somebody here who will appreciate it makes me feel a little better. Talk to you soon.

From what I remember it cost me ~$540 to ship my bike from Vermont to NY and almost half of that was the crate so I think you can shop further than that for not much more. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the reply. I talked to my local dealer and they said they use a company called Haulbikes. Their website is www.haulbikes.com

If anybody is interested and would like a price quote for shipping, this sounds like a reputable, reasonble way to go. From the way it sounds, they do not crate them, they strap each bike down into a chock in the enclosed trailer. They can ship nationwide and use a two story trailer specially made for hauling bikes. Hope this helps.

$4900? Man! If I was looking for a 599, I'd come get that one.

$4900? Man! If I was looking for a 599, I'd come get that one.I know, the shop I have it at has it listed for $5899. They are confident they could get this price in season, with the sport bike market being hot around here. Unfortunately, I am not in a financial position to wait until next spring. I thought this would be a good place to sell this bike at a fair price to somebody that will appreciate it. The dealership suggested they might be interested in buying it at a fair price which I may consider if I do not have any interest here. Don't know if I could stand seeing somebody in my area riding around on MY bike though! :x

For what it's worth, I would be very interested in this bike, especially at that price, but will not be in a position to buy for about another month or so. Sounds like a great deal though and I hope you find a buyer for it!

Hello,

I live in the Eau Claire and I am very interested in this bike. What dealership has it, so I can look at it in person?

Thanks,
