Life has made a change for me over the last year. The long and short of it is that the 599 has been sitting still much longer than it should be. Since I took up running and biking (losing big weight in the process btw), my riding went from 12K a year to less than 5K miles a year. With that, it's time to get it out of the garage if I'm not going to ride it much. My plan was to sell it next spring, but I'll give you a shot at it now. SPECIFICS:
2006 599 bought NEW.
17,000 miles
5 year Honda service plan, 3 years remaining.
Avon ST55/56 tires. Front virtually new, rear approx 3-5K miles left.
Absolutely no mods whatsoever. Ridden like a grampa by a 40 year old man, mostly highway miles.
Oil changed every 3-4000 miles, Mobil1 10W40 synthetic motorcycle oil and Honda filters. Oil change will be fresh prior to sale.
I was going to pop it up on a web site for $4995 and take $4500 next spring but since it would be nice to move it, I am posting out here now. I am leaving no negotiating room on this. If I can't get $4200 out of it then I won't sell it period. Purchase includes a leather black/white/yellow size XXL MotoGP motorcycle jacket which is basically new as I wear a mesh about 90% of the time.
Bike located in the Dayton OH area (Troy OH specifically).
No pictures posted since we all should know what a bone stock mint condition 06 599 looks like <grin>.
