Hello everyone,

I'm from Cambridge, Ontario. Been lurking here for awhile. Great forum-- lots of info, good discussions. I finally joined since I'm very close to getting a hornet 599, but I still have a few nagging questions... This would be my first bike ever. My first ride was 10 yrs ago on my friend's bike in an empty parking lot for about 2 fun filled hrs, I never dropped his bike . Recently, the bug hit me and I want my own. So bear with me, I'll probably be asking a couple of questions here and there.

Thanks.

Welcome, you're in the right place!

I'm sure you've already found the long thread on "599s as a newbie bike," but if you haven't, go check it out.

Welcome ozzie.

And i third the above sentiments...take the MSF course!!! The public streets and highway systems are in no way, shape or form to be confused with two fun filled hours in a parking lot. Get a little more training would be my advice.

Good luck and welcome again!!!
