So given our MSRP pricing schemes that don't include tax and other fees up front, it's tough to translate directly from the Euro price. If a miracle were to happen and Honda did bring the Hornet over, I'd bet it would probably be priced less than the number you've reached; maybe closer to a Monster 696. After all, they are made in the same country and that would be the competition over here. Just a guess. You sit to high and the bars are to low. Just a wierd feeling. And the dealership up'd the base price to $9,599. motorico 03-09-2009, 09:24 PM And that is $8,775. for a US 2009 Monster 696. I liked the 696, it is a bit too far forward for commuting I think. I loved how light it is though. Dude, we know all about it. Now, we just have to figure out how to get it ? ? ? ? ? ? The honda factory promo video on you tube says the Hornet engine was taken directly from the 600RR. No changes. motorico 03-13-2009, 07:07 AM Wait a minute, those look like advertisements. I didn't think Honda advertises the Hornet/599. motorico 03-13-2009, 07:13 AM And that is $8,775. for a US 2009 Monster 696. I sat on one at the dealership. I dont like it. It is for a few hundred more you can have a Bandit 1250, or a grand more an FZ-1. robkb 03-13-2009, 09:47 PM Wait a minute, those look like advertisements. I didn't think Honda advertises the Hornet/599. Well, they don't ever tell us in the States about anything cool... | |
