Hey LA Nesters --
Please think about joining in the Los Angeles edition of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation "Ride for Kids" on May 3. (www.larideforkids.org (http://www.larideforkids.org/)) While you probably won't be ripping up any canyons, you will ride from Honda's Torrance HQ and around the Palos Verdes Peninsula, which is quite pretty (and if the route goes up PV Drive East, there are some twisties). More importantly, the money raised will help support research into children's brain tumors, through the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, which is a well-regarded and well run charity. (See http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=8067 for an analysis of the PBTF's charitable activities. As an aside, Charity Navigator is a great way to check out charities to see where you money goes.)
Unfortunately, I can't participate in this year's ride, but I know the folks head up the LA chapter of Ride for Kids, and they'll set up a good time. So please think about joining in. (For those of you located outside of LA, there typically are Rides for Kids all around the nation. Check out http://www.pbtfus.org/ to find your local ride).
Thanks, Jack
