I find the guy's opinion on standing on the pegs to be surprising, especially since he is conservative about most other riding topics. It's something I do when on long trips and I need to stretch, but it seems like a mildly dangerous thing to do. This guy actually recommends (http://www.msgroup.org/Tip.aspx?Num=257&Set=) doing it when at an intersection, to increase your visibility! I think that's crazy, because you add to your reaction time if you have to sit down and then apply brakes in an emergency. But anyway, his advice makes me feel better about standing on my pegs to stretch my legs.
