I thought I'd talk about both of these dealers at once since local guys might shop them simultaneously like I did.

First, Al Lamb's:
This is the one at 635 and Greenville. I've heard great things about this place from more than one person, and they are the best-equipped Honda dealer I've been to so far. Bought several tires there with no regrets. Recently (Fall '09), they had some amazing deals on non-current VFRs, which I was shopping for. Overall, I like the place, but I'll say this: the experience completely hinges on who helps you. Several times, I talked to a cool guy who went out of his way to help make a sale. The last time I went there, my favorite guy wasn't there, so a jerk stepped in. Didn't connect with the guy, and he showed little interest in listening to me or trying to unload the bike. I'm not gonna call anybody out by name, but PM me if you're thinking about making a sizable investment there, and I'll try to pass on what I know. Never had any complaints about anything else at Al Lamb's, but I will make a point of not buying anything from "the jerk."

Second, DFW Honda:
This is out on William D. Tate in Grapevine. I've been there several times, too, but really only bought gear until yesterday. The first time I went, a few years ago, a guy spent a LOT of time talking to me about jackets. He knew I was only shopping, but he still stuck with me patiently while I noobed it up and tried to find "the jacket." This last time (yesterday), they had the old VFR I wanted at a pretty good price. I dealt with the internet sales manager, who had let me test-ride a bike several months prior. I ended up making the purchase and have no regrets about any of the dealings there. They were fair, met my price, and didn't add any BS to the bottom line. All in all, it was a good experience - and any time you can say that when you go into debt, it's pretty good.

To recap: "thumbs up" to both dealerships, but be choosy of your salesperson at Al Lamb's. DFW Honda has 95% of the stuff Al Lamb's does and got the nod from me this time.
