Honda's bringing it in again. Sorry but it might only be available in Canada. Fuel injected, Aluminum frame, ABS are a few of the upgrades. Check it out at Honda.ca.

Easy to ride, yet packed with high-performance features. The Honda
CBF600SA is now available to Canadian riders who want a bike that’s
loaded with everything they need for years of riding fun. Proven on the
tight city streets, twisty mountain passes and wide-open autobahns of
Europe, the CBF600SA boasts a fuel-injected engine that has been spe-
cially tuned for extra low-end torque and smooth, user-friendly power
delivery. It’s cradled in a beautifully sculpted aluminum frame that con-
tributes to the CBF600SA’s sure handling and light weight. The seat
height is comfortably low, and it’s adjustable so you can be sure it’ll fit
you perfectly. And with standard Combined Braking System with ABS
(Anti-lock Braking System), you can ride with added confidence.
Key Features

• Lightweight and compact fuel-injected 599 cc inline-four engine is tuned
for the most comfortable balance of performance and ease of use
• Combined Braking System with ABS provides both the operating ease of
linked brakes and the control of an advanced Anti-lock Braking System
• Sleek half fairing features air-directing ports that deflect air around you
for better comfort while also enabling lighter, easier handling
• Three-position adjustable seat and two-position adjustable windscreen
allow you to tailor your CBF600SA for optimum comfort and control
• Standard catalytic converter reduces exhaust emissions

Thankfully, I don't like the SA version of the bike. Otherwise, I'd be kinda jealous. Why would Canada get it but not the US? It's that much further to ship!

I dunno... it sounds like fun, but I've heard that the 125s are either wide-open and waiting for power or nothing at all.

The "F" is in the wrong position in the name to tickle my interest. I'm not quite that old, yet, and I think I'd get a real sport tourer if I ever bought anything like that.

Bikini fairings suck.

Honda finally followed the FZ6/1, er6n, Z1000, SV...... Sheesh. They make a good machine, but they seem like idiots to me.

I'm a Kawasaki fan, but it seems to me like Yamaha is where it's at these days.

Yeah, I saw and sat on this bike at the show. This is NOT a pretty bike. I believe I may have referred to it as a Hornet's ugly step-sister.

I didn't know you guys didn't have the CBR125 there. There are tons of them for sale on Craigslist here. Honda has a big program here which includes the bike, all the gear, and lessons -- so lots of people have the 125. It's not bad, for a scooter!

Yeah, for a scooter. The Ninja 250 is way better to start on if you can't handle a Ninja or Suzuki 500. (can't remember what the Suzy is called. Don't care either.)

GSX500F, I think.

Have you seen the new Z1000? It's got the style so many here hate, but I love it.

There's a writeup in Cycle World this month if you get that.

I don't hate the styling (though some elements are pretty boffo, like the exhaust can) and Kawasaki seem to have achieved what they wanted: a thoroughly modern, powerful, naked hooligan bike. The takeaway from the article was that the Z needs some competition - specifically the Honda CB1000.

How did you feel after seeing it in person? I went from tepid to "I could ride this thing" after the motorcycle show.

The review at Motorcycle.com just confirmed those thoughts. I would have trouble dropping the $$$ for a StreetFighter, but the Z for ten-five has some appeal.

I agree on the price front and I'm sure insurance would be less. At the same time, I went from "tepid" to "luke warm." There's an amazing amount of plastic on that sucker. Combined with the exhausts, it'd probably be a good chunk of change to get to where I'd be "pretty happy."

The Streetfighter may bankrupt me, but it starts at the "JIMP" point and only gets better from there. :P

I can see how, given my usual commentary, me saying "I don't hate the styling" could be construed as a ringing endorsement.

Actually, I fall more in line with Tranny's sentiment. Though for $16,000, I'm really not sure if I would pick the Ducati or VFR1200... I'm quite certain I wouldn't "settle" for the Z1000, even if it meant saving some coin.

Seriously? You need smacked.

Ha. Smacked?

Two words: Married. Kids.

If I got my hands on a Streetfighter, it would eventually culminate in a mushroom cloud of shrapnel so large and loud you could see and hear it in Ohio.

Oh yeah, and full coverage is like $2K a year.

Officer: "Should be grateful you're in one piece, kid. Too bad the insurance won't cover it."

Me: "SCREW IT AT LEAST I AINT NO PUSSY"

And then I whip out my AmEx Black. Because that's how I roll.

Yeah, the GS.... Not as peppy as the Ninja. I was looking at those before I fell in love with the Hornet's old school headlight. And sexy tail.

The big Z? Haven't seen it in person yet. I LOVED the 2nd gen. Those megaphone quad pipes? Suh-weet!

Although, time with my 599 seems to have soured me on pointy plastic...

The 2010 seemed too euro for me when I saw it. More refined, less raw. Didn't like it. It's grown on me. I really like the looks now.

The thought of torque always turns me on, but the hornet is pretty peppy as I remember it. (it's been far too many months.) :crybaby:

Plus, the price tag on bigger bikes is way too much for me. I could barely afford this new of a bike. I sold my F2 for half what I paid for the 599.

How about the CB1000R? There was a rumor it was coming to Canada. Usually, the bike go to Canada first, then to the USA. I'm still waiting for the Varadero to come down here from CA.

I have to say I am not a fan of the new cbf600's. the model 07 was ok looking, not a fan of the GP style pipe. but it is better looking than the new ones. I think the new ones look like every other bike out there.

I don't know much about bikes, but I do know what I think is sexy and this new CBF600SA is uuggggggglllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Its got an identity problem if you ask me, it looks like an old yamaha FJ. TWO thumbs down. :crazy
