Hey guys, I was adjusting the suspension on my 919, and I want to know about the front forks.

All of the other 3 suspension adjustments on this bike have "stopping points" when you know you have reached the maximum adjustment, but I haven't found this for the front fork preload. I spun it more and more towards the stiffer/harder position, and the adjuster has sunken so low that I am worried I will spin it down to where it will be unreachable by my wrench!

Any suggestions?

What fork preload positions do you guys use?

I'm running the factory setting in the front, and factory on the rear, unless I have a passenger. then I turn the rear up a click or two, what are you trying to do with your suspension?

I just wanted to see how it feels at the different settings...

what's your weight? It's kind of pointless to be adjusting anything unless you are trying to achieve something. It this case proper sag is what your goal should be.

If you are anything over 150lbs, stock 919 front is too soft for you. If you are anything under 195lbs, rear is to stiff for you. Welcome to the world of wonderful 919 OEM suspension, Honda's "do it all for everyone in one package" attempt didn't work as you probably already noticed.

here is what you should be looking for:

Front -
Rider Sag - 30-35mm
Free Sag - 15-20mm
Rear -
Rider Sag - 30-35mm (street)
Free Sag - 5-10mm

also, you can start with fork rebound setting at 2.5 turns out of full in, be gentle there, don't force it
