A few months back I posted some pictures of parts that I machined for my 599. I started receiving private messages from people who wanted parts made. I made custom master cylinder caps for the 2004-06 599 and 2002-07 919. As far as I can tell same cap fits all, OEM PART # 45513-MM5-016 FOR $18.00. My caps are made from 6065 aluminum and black hard anodized for long life. I made the jigs for all three operations, ran them on the CNC's and quality controlled the parts during these processes. The bottom of the part has an air vent and fits the OEM master cylinder. The fonts were machined with two different finishes. The first style is smooth bottom with a clean look. The second style is done with an .010" ball end mill and leaves a "scalloped" multi-surface pocket finish. The contours reflect light and seems to stand out, people have really gone for this look. The fonts are custom to look like the fonts on the bike. I have never had a cap leak and they fit very well. In the future, I may offer differenct colors of anodizing. I will be putting them on E-Bay, but will sell them to people of this forum for a cheaper price. The price is $30.00 plus shipping & handling. I will guarantee the part works or a full refund of the purchase price. I tried to keep the cost down while not sacraficing quality. Will have Hornet engraved caps soon.
