Re: Shifting into neutral problem?

Is it just the neutral light that is the problem. My sensor is going. It looks like I'm in gear on the display even though I am in neutral. Not an issue until I put the kickstand down. I'll probably...

Re: Rates High Every Time

I feel the same. I have seen a cbr600rr swing-arm on a 599, but I think you need to modify the frame to make it work. I'd also have to trade in my ohlins, which I'd prefer not to do.

Re: MIVV X Cone Slip On

The x-cone is great!

I have made it so that I can take the baffle on and off with a threaded hole and a screw. The baffle out get tiring after a while and I usually wear earplugs when out....

I have one, but I don't know how costly it would be to send from Canada.
Do you need a stock muffler too?

Re: what the heck is going on with my engine ?

You are shifting super early. Which will make the engine a bit under powered.

There are a number of things that could be going on.
Has it run differently in the past?

I would guess that if...

Re: Hosting the Honda 599 / Hornet 600 Service Manual

The Hornet only came to North America for 2004 and 2006, and never with a fairing. However, I do not think the bikes are that different. Let me know if you are interested, and I'll figure out how to...

Re: engine malfunction ? carbs?

It is a bit hard to tell from the video what is going on.

Is it missing? Or does it seem choked out in the low revs?

If it has sat for a while, the carbs could be gummed up. Taking them apart...

Re: aftermarket exhaust options for 2006 hornet 599?

My understanding is that the F3 engine uses different carbs. So if you swapped the engine, I don't know if it would run properly.

Re: 2006 front brake light isn't working

My first guess would be the switch. Have you changed your brake lever? As this could be an issue if it were for the wrong bike.

Re: How to carrying a duffle bag and a backpack?

Have you tried using the fold out hooks under the seat with a couple of bungee cords? The pipe, if original, doesn't get very hot.

Condensation can build up a fair bit on short rides, especially in the winter. Going for a good 20 minute ride will usually sort it out. You might want to tighten the clamp though.
