Re: WTB 2006 599 Stock Handlebars

I have stockers from '04 - with the weights in the ends. Just bare bars, though.

Re: Who really wears gear in hot weather?

Typically I'll run with my steel toe Crocks, armored ear buds, cargo shorts (with stuff in the pockets for padding), and no shirt. Obviously the shirt will create more friction with the ground in the...

Thanks! You just gotta go fast enough...and the dirt and grime just flies off. Haha. But really - I have 2 bikes, and my buddy takes the Shadow (the whore she is) often for shits and grins. All I ask...

Re: post some of your latest pics!

New blood for my baby, meat, and a dog that got VERY lucky twice. He ended up putting my buddy down (trying to not kill him) on my other bike. He's fine - he got down pretty slow before eating it -...

We'll see how ambitious I get this year, but yea, it should be protected. The stocker that came off was in pretty good shape, but pretty grimey. Fortunately I don't have to ride...

Re: Head bearings / steering stem bearings

Ditto. The frustrating part isn't so much that the job is difficult, its that in my mind, its supposed to be easy, thus intensifying my frustration. Good thing beer exists. haha.

I second that. You feel all of the bumps and cracks...but the bike never gets upset or squirrely like before. It feels solid and planted...always. Its hard to describe - but it is AWESOME.:thumbsup

Not to change the subject here - but looking at the motorless 599 is kind of messed up. It looks like some horror film science experiment. That mono-backbone frame looks weird without the engine (and...
