Figured I would start a thread mostly for us southeast TN north GA riders. I went to the gap this past Sunday for the 4th. Suprisingly it wasnt that packed and got a few clean runs. Only 2 THP were present. Also, saw diehard up there too in his cage. I really want to go back soon maybe for the weekend or something. If anyone else is interested let me know as my schedule right now is very flexible. Sorta wanted to make a thread so folks could post if they were in the area.
Nisxmo- You still planning on going August 1? |

I'm in for the 1st of August. With the dragon being closed from the TN side, it is really limiting the amount of traffic up there. Ran through in the cage, and only had to pull off once for moto-traffic. So, unless something crazy happens, I'm in!

her and several friends trailered down. That way they could swap drivers, and make it in one shot. I think... I've slept since then... It's about 830 miles, get that hornet man of yours, load up,and make the trip.

830 miles isn't so bad. We have September off so we'll see as we get closer. I know I want to go somewhere to ride, we just have decided on where yet.

Indeed, there are several of us that are within an hour or so of the dragon. I'd love another group ride...

Just a heads up, since the Dragon has reopened from the Tennessee side, it has been saturated with LEOs from both state and county. Ranging from 7:30am till 11:00pm. I don't expect the level of enforcement to go down anytime soon.

last couple times it hasnt been that bad really...this was once on a sat later in the day..other time on sunday...both times only saw 1-2 cops on the entire dragon with 2-3 full runs of store to overlook and back....was a bit more crowded so had to slow on some of the runs but not too bad overall

Hi guys, just thought I'd jump in this thread since I just got down to Durham, NC and I brought my 2006 599 with me. I'd love to hit up the dragon sometime soon. Also, do you guys know of any good riding roads in the research triangle area? Thanks and look forward to meeting you.
