I found this article. Some links are history. Article from MCN '10 best parts for the Hornet'

Thanks for all the links. I clicked on all of them and now know what is made for our 599s. Very entertaining, now just need some dollars to buy a few cool parts.

In regards to slip on pipes. I spoke with Mr Hamilton at globalmoto.com. Blue flame is dead. He deals Beowulf for the 599.

Exact Email;

Dear Trevor,
For several years I was the only dealer of Blueflame exhausts in the USA. I have elected to no longer sell that brand. I much more prefer Beowulf exhaust. They have a life time warranty and a removable baffle. They start at $269 to your door for a polished stainless steel in round or oval. They also have the Warrior can available for your bike too. Attached are some photos, let me know what you think.
Yours truly, Brian.

Noticing a lot of "where can I find" questions from some of our nooBs. Thought I'd give this thread a little bump to help you all out. Enjoy, and don't get too broke too fast with the mods, it's a hellova drug!

Has anyone used or heard anything about a product called a de-restrictor? Is it a common mod? is it worth it?

hey i have a question in regards to installing smaller front indicators. i ordered two sets of small cat-eye indicators and had them installed today. the problem im having is that theyre blinking really really fast and each side blinks at different speeds. also, one of the bulbs is starting to smoke... i checked all the wiring and connections and it all seems fine.. any reason for the fast blinking? thanks...

Usually turns signals that blink faster are an indication of low resistance in the circuit. Maybe the bulbs aren't rated as high as the stock ones?

I know for LED turn signals, for the turn signals to blink at regular speed you need to wire in a resistor. Maybe you can try that.

This page needs an update.
Many of these links/companies are dead/out-o-business.

WTB: Stock muffler for a 04 599
I have a 2 Brothers muffler and want to revert to the stock exhaust. You can have the 2 Brothers muffler in trade.

WTB: Stock turn indicators for a 04 599

Thanks,
Raoul

If you have trouble finding ‘04 bits I have both the stock muffler and blinkers for an ‘06.
