Default Small drip leak coolant overflow

I just bought a 2004 Hornet on the weekend. I noticed when I test drove it around up and down the street ( waiting to get my insurance fixed up) when I came back it drips a tiny bit of coolant in the overflow. A few drops here and there.

I also did a coolant change and it's still doing the same thing. I read that it might be because there is too much coolant? Should I be worried?

It's literally drops of coolant out of the overflow hose coming out of the bottom

Do you think it's as simple as someone putting too much in? There should be a low and high fill line for when it's cold.

When you did the coolant change did you fill the overflow tank up approximately half way with additional coolant? Between the low and high lines on it?

Yes I filled the overflow to top of the high line. It might even be slightly over the line. Would that cause it to leak?

I know our bikes have an overflow tank under the seat.
Where exactly is the coolant leaking from?
I'll have to go look as I didn't realize these bikes had an overflow tube other than the one to the tank.
A pic would be great.

I just went out to the garage and looked. I see the coolant overflow tube going from the radiator to the catchment tank under the seat. I don't see any other drain tubes.
Mine is an '06, maybe the '04 is different?
I have mine filled just slightly over the top fill line on the catchment tank, never have I seen any coolant drips...From anywhere.

Just a thought but... The '06 bikes have two overflow lines from the carbs on the lower left side, near the shift lever.
This isn't where you are seeing the drips is it?
If so it is nothing to worry about.
Mine will have a few drops from time to time, but it is gas, not coolant.

Could be. Try to drain some out.

I guess enough dripped out. That seems to have been the problem. Not leaking anymore
